Tina and Amanda
Tina Louise is a popular American writer, singer and actress who is well-known for her portrayal of Ginger Grant in the 1960s TV show Gilligan's Island. Her Two's Company musical was the first show she performed in for her first stage appearance. In the 1950s she performed as a stage performer in several Broadway shows before gaining her way into the spotlight with her hit song 'Lil' Abner's debut in 1957. The singer also released her debut album of music, It's Time For Tina that same year. Louise was the first to make her debut in Hollywood as Griselda Walden on God's little Acre, a film about drama that was released in 1958.The film received a lot of praise as well as Louise was awarded her Golden Globe Award in the New Star of the Year category. When she was an undergraduate of Lee Strasberg, she attended the Actors Studio New York. In 1964, she signed to CBS and portrayed Ginger Grant. Louise continued to juggle her work with ease with a variety of roles between Broadway TV and Hollywood portraying somber characters as contrasted to her perception of a glamour doll. Amanda Tapping..........................Amanda Tapping is best known for her acting roles as Samantha Carter in the series Stargate. In SG-1 and Helen Magnus on Sanctuary. In recent years Tapping has also emerged as a popular director for well-known television shows like Supernatural or The 100. Her family moved to Essex to Toronto and she lived there for growing up and in adolescence. When she was chosen to play the role of Samantha Carter, she moved to Vancouver in 1997 and has lived there since.
