Ani Difranco

Angela Maria Ani DiFranco, a Canadian-American singer and songwriter. There are more than 20 albums. DiFranco has released more than 20 albums. Ani Difranco has been widely recognized as an icon for feminist music. In the year 1990, she was among the first to establish her own independent record label. DiFranco was born on the 23rd of September, 1970 in Buffalo New York. Her parents were Elizabeth (Ross), from Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT), and Dante Americo DiFranco. Her father is of Italian origin, while her mother comes from Montreal. Ani diFranco composed and sang the song 32 Flavors. The track was first released on DiFranco's 1995 sixth studio album Not a Pretty Girl. The track was included in the soundtrack to the Canadian romantic comedy Better Than Chocolate, released in 1999. DiFranco apologized for hosting a workshop in Louisiana on an old plantation for slaves. The workshop was cancelled, however, she did not express any regret.
