Ellie Goulding
Ellie Goulding - born Elena Jane Goulding (30 December 1986) in Hereford (England) She is an English singer/songwriter. Ellie Goulding dominated the UK charts in 2010 due to the catchy electro-pop songs "Starry Eyed" and Guns and Horses. Although she started out writing songs in a folk-inflected style, she eventually grew into a more electronic-influenced artist, touching upon dance music and ambient synth pop. Her unique soprano sibilance and knack for composing captivating, yet emotional songs, Goulding, much like her predecessors Kate Bush and Imogen Heap has a place at the cutting edge of contemporary mainstream music and an independent, artistic pop.Goulding soon graduated from blogging to printed media, gaining the attention of mainstream magazines like The Guardian and fielding offers from record labels. Polydor Records offered her a deal with a major label. She started to plan for the release.
